Since 2011, I co-organize and co-curate this lovely gem of a festival in the UK.

The Otherfield Film Festival (formerly known as Quadrangle FF) is a weekend in the country where the only thing you pitch is your tent.

Launched in 2011, this a grass-roots festival created by a collective of filmmakers and film lovers.
We wanted to create a new kind of film festival, a place where we can all explore our love of film, and have honest debates about the thrills and challenges of our work.

The festival is about craft, creativity and inspiration.

A core element is the series of “Lost Gems”, where special guests present screenings of hard-to-find films that have had a strong impact on their work. We also bring together experts of the genre to talk about their work in a relaxed setting with no professional pressures. And we focus just as seriously on students and new filmmakers, because that freshness and excitement are crucial to the ethos of the festival – the exchange between new players and old hands is one of the best things about the weekend.
